F&B Manager Roles & Responsibilities
F&B Manager is the HOD (Head of the Department) for F&B Service. The topmost role of the F&B manager is to manage all the sub-departments of his department which are restaurants, Room service, Banquets, Lounges & bar, etc. He is the final signing authority or we can say final approval authority. Here are the few other roles & responsibilities of F&B manager
Hire and Train Staff
Managers are responsible for interviewing and hiring new staff. Training the staff for their role and disciplining them in the case of misconduct. Managers also deal with firing Staff if required.
Oversee Food Preparation
Implementing the right standards for food and safety regulations is an important part of running a restaurant. Food and beverage managers are aware of these Food Safety management System and Other guidelines
Customer Service
In case of any guest complaints related to Service, the F&B manager meet the guest and takes feedback. F&B Manager makes sure the standards are met related to better guest service
Schedule Shifts
F&B manager is responsible for assigning duties and making Duty rottas for all the managers of his department.
Control Budgets
It is the duty of an F&B Manager to meet the targets and control budgets
Update & Design Menus:
F&B Manager sit down with the Executive Chef and the restaurant manager to design and update the menu . Menu Planning is done in the presence of the F&B Manager.
